Fairpoint Paying Attention

Bravo Fairpoint Communications.

It took you less than one week to change your High Speed Internet Service Plan Pricing Page to reflect the complaints that I voiced in my last blog post.

The change came pretty darn quick if you ask me.  I’m not sure if I should chalk this up as a coincidence or if I should claim this change as the product of my previous rant.  Either way, I’m glad that Fairpoint made the change and now discloses the ugly fact that you need to be a voice customer to take advantage of their advertised rates (Still makes no sense to me).

Looks like the change may have been included in a site-wide upgrade to Java Server Pages.  One thing’s for sure, I bet their SEO stats are all out of whack now that each file extension in their sitemap is now .jsp instead of .html.  Every page in the detailed Google search results for Fairpoint Communications returns with a .404 error message.

I’ll be curious to see how long it takes the Google bot to re-crawl their site .
